Make an acapella: keep the voice, remove the music

An acapella is the voice of a song with the music taken away. Attach a track or a video to ToolGPT and ask for the vocals only. A cloud separation service removes the music, and the voice comes back to the chat.

What it can do

  • The voice on its own

Ask for the vocals only, and the result is the voice with the music removed.

  • The music is kept too

One upload returns both parts. Switch the result card to “Voice removed” to get the instrumental.

  • Two choices when it is unclear

If you do not say which side to keep, ToolGPT shows a card for each instead of guessing.

  • Songs, recordings and videos

Start from an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file, or from a video that has sound.

  • You decide on the upload

A permission card appears before the first upload, and the audio waits until you agree.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach the track

Open ToolGPT and add the song, recording or video with the + button. No account is needed.

  2. 2

Ask for the vocals and allow the upload

Say “keep only the voice”. Then choose Allow once or Allow for this tab on the permission card.

  3. 3

    Download the acapella

The vocals appear in the chat when processing is done. Download them, or switch the card to the music.

From a full song to the voice alone

When you ask for the vocals, ToolGPT makes an MP3 copy of the sound in your browser and sends that copy to its separation service on a server. The service returns two parts, the voice and the music, and you see the voice first.

The music part is stored with the result. Switch the card to “Voice removed” and you have the instrumental too, without uploading again.

The same tool helps with spoken recordings. If an interview or a video has music playing under the speech, keeping the voice takes that music away.

Not sure which side you need?

If your message does not say which part to keep, ToolGPT shows two choices instead of guessing: keep the voice, or keep the music. Each card describes in words what you will get. There is no picture to preview, because only the sound changes.

Uploads, permission and limits

Only the audio leaves your device. For a video, the sound is extracted in your browser, and after processing the voice is put back under the original picture.

A permission card shows the file name before the first upload, and no audio is sent until you agree. Guests can use the acapella maker without an account, within a daily limit it shares with the vocal remover and the noise reducer.

Frequently asked questions

What is an acapella?

A song's vocals with the instruments removed. ToolGPT gives you the voice part as an MP3, or as a video if you attached one.

Is the audio uploaded?

Yes, after you give permission, because separation runs on a cloud service. For a video, the picture stays on your device.

Can I also get the instrumental?

Yes. Both parts come from the same upload. Switch the result card to “Voice removed” to hear and download the music.

Will the vocals be perfectly clean?

That depends on the recording. Listen to the result before you use it in a project.
