Video filters with a live preview in the chat

Ask for a look or a color change, and your own video plays in the chat with it applied. Adjust the strength and the sliders, compare before and after, then tap Apply to make the filtered copy in your browser.

What it can do

  • Live preview

Your video plays inside the chat with the look applied, so you judge it in motion, not on a still.

  • Families of looks

Looks are grouped into families you can browse, and a strength slider sets how much of the look is used.

  • Four color sliders

Brightness, contrast, saturation and warmth each run from -100 to 100.

  • Before and after

Drag a divider across the picture to compare the original with the filtered version.

  • Any screen size

The look card works on a phone as well as on a computer.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach the video

Add the video with the + button beside the message box, or drop it into the chat.

  2. 2

    Ask for a look

Describe the style or the change. The look card opens with your video, and you can adjust it there or keep chatting.

  3. 3

    Apply and download

Tap Apply. The filtered copy appears with a download button, and your original stays as it was.

Looks and adjustments

A look is a ready-made color grade, the kind of style you might call warm or cinematic. The strength slider runs from 0 to 100%, so you can use a look at full strength or as a light touch.

The four sliders work on their own or on top of a look. Brightness makes the picture lighter or darker. Contrast makes it flatter or punchier. Saturation runs from black and white at -100 to vivid at 100. Warmth moves the colors toward blue or toward orange.

You do not have to touch the controls. Say “a bit warmer” or “much brighter” and the assistant sets the sliders for you. Ask again and the same card updates, rather than a new one appearing.

What a filter changes, and what it does not

A filter applies to the whole picture for the whole length of the video. It cannot change one object or one color, it has no hue or tint control, and it cannot be applied to only part of the video.

The filtered video is re-encoded in your browser and keeps its format unless you name MP4, MOV, WEBM or MKV. An AVI has to be converted to MP4 first, which ToolGPT can do in the same chat.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The preview and the final video are both made in your browser.
