ToolGPT

Resize, crop and compress photos by asking

Whether a form wants an image under 200 KB, a profile picture has to be square, or a folder of phone photos is too big to share, you can describe it to ToolGPT in plain words. It shows you the options rendered on your own pictures, you tap one, and the new files are ready to download.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach one or more photos

Open ToolGPT and add your JPEG, PNG or WEBP images with the + button. You can attach several and treat them as a batch.

  2. 2

    Pick from real previews

Ask for what you need. ToolGPT shows cards for the choices — sizes with estimated file weights, or crops drawn on your photo — and you tap one.

  3. 3

    Download the new images

Each photo comes back as a new file; the originals are never modified. Several results can be bundled into one ZIP.

Compress photos to a size, not a guess

Photo compression offers four balances — Recommended, High quality, Small file and Smallest — each with a size estimate worked out from your own files, so you can see the trade before choosing. If a website demands a limit such as "under 500 KB", say so: ToolGPT lowers the quality step by step until the photo fits, and if it cannot get there it tells you the smallest size it reached rather than handing back something too big.

It will not pretend. If a photo would not come out smaller than it already is, the job reports that instead of returning a file that is the same size.

Resize and crop with the result in view

For resizing, the quick choices are 1920 px, 1080 px and 2048 px on the long edge, or half size — each showing the pixels it would produce and roughly what it would weigh. For an exact size, type the numbers: "1200 by 628" sets the size precisely.

Cropping is shown on your picture before anything is cut. Square, portrait and wide shapes appear as tiles, so you can see whether a square crop would cut off someone's head before you choose it. Cropping only ever removes edges, and your original photo is kept.

Change the format while you're at it

ToolGPT converts photos between JPEG, PNG and WEBP. WEBP is usually the smallest; PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency but is often much larger for photographs, and the assistant will point that out. HEIC photos from iPhones can be opened only in browsers that read HEIC themselves, such as Safari.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Resizing, cropping, compressing and converting all happen in your browser.

Can I do a whole folder of photos at once?

Yes. Attach them together and ask once; the same settings are applied to every photo and each one comes back as its own file.

Can it make a photo larger?

Only when you give an exact width and height. The quick size options never enlarge a picture.
