Make a smaller copy of a video for email

When a video is too big to attach, a smaller frame is a good start. ToolGPT's Email recipe makes a 960×540 MP4 at no more than 30 frames per second and keeps up to one minute, all in your browser.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach the video

Add the video with the + button, or drop it into the chat. No account is needed to start.

  2. 2

    Ask for an email version

Say it is for email. The card previews the 960×540 frame and, for a video over a minute, lets you choose which minute to keep.

  3. 3

    Apply, check the size, download

Press Apply. The result card shows the new file's size, so you can see whether it is small enough before you download it.

Smaller frame, lower frame rate

The Email recipe writes a 960×540 (16:9) MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio at 128 kbps. The frame rate follows your video up to 30 fps, so a 60 fps clip loses half its frames. A 4K or 1080p original comes down to 960×540.

A vertical phone video is fitted into the wide frame as a narrow column, with a blurred copy of itself on both sides. If you want to keep the vertical shape and simply make the file lighter, ask ToolGPT to compress it instead of using the recipe.

When it still needs to be smaller

The recipe sets the frame size, frame rate and length, but it does not aim at a particular number of megabytes. If your email service still refuses the file, ask ToolGPT to compress the result. It reads the file's real bitrate, shows a plan with a Start compression button, and refuses rather than making the file larger.

Up to 60 seconds are kept. For a longer video, the card starts with the first minute selected, and you can drag the window to another part.

Frequently asked questions

How big will the email version be?

It depends on the video's length and content, because the recipe does not target a file size. The result card shows the new size, so you can decide whether to compress it further.

Will the video be cropped?

No. The whole picture is kept and fitted into the 960×540 frame.

Is my video uploaded or emailed for me?

Neither. The recipe runs in your browser, and you attach the downloaded file to your email yourself.
